Being the more spontaneous one amongst the both of us, Jeff decided that this winter would be perfect to do a road trip around New Zealand’s South Island because when the man wants snow, he […]
As we move into the beginnings of winter in New Zealand, I’ve been more inclined to keeping myself warm indoors because let’s face it, the wet and cold aren’t exactly my favourite conditions to be outdoors. Yesterday however, we made an exception for this particular walking trail along the Wellington coast and despite ending up with frozen ears, the track was as beautiful as what we hoped; definitely a track worth doing!
Two weekends ago, it was an absolute privilege to have Catherine and Eugene invite us to archive memories of their most important day into photographs. It was another one of those whirlwind weekends of us […]
It was a whirlwind flight up to Hamilton and an early drive the next morning to the Coromandel to finally do the famed Pinnacles Walk. Leading up to our hike, all of us were expecting superb weather considering what a good summer it has been for New Zealand and to our dismay, it was the complete opposite.

What a year it has been for me!
I whizzed through 2017 feeling exceptionally breathless from all the activity and for good reason, I feel quite ready to do a closure to welcome the New Year. Today is one of those sentimental days where I looked through my old archives and paused at an entry dating back to 2014. Admit it – At some point in your life, you’ve probably oooooh-ed and aaaahhhh-ed at all these visuals of beautiful luxury campsites out in the wilderness that’s dotted all over Pinterest, travel magazines, social media, wishing that you’d be able to experience it at least once in your lifetime.
I definitely fitted that description and after endless browsing, bookmarking tabs and following some pretty inspiring travel feed, we finally got a taste of glamping at the Highfield Forest Retreat, an experience that I highly recommend if you’re ever looking for an unique staycation here in New Zealand.
You sometimes see a scatter of his photos here in this blog and after much
threatening convincing, Jeff finally decided to write about his adventures in India earlier this year.
